The Robert Clergerie savoir-faire
The quest for originality drives this French footwear master, whose creations magnify their design through splendour and comfort. Headquartered in Romans-sur-Isère in the South of France, the workshop has acquired honours the world over in tradeshows from Milan to Las Vegas. In 1978, Robert Clergerie bought an artisanal French shoe company and in 1981 the company’s legendary boutique in Paris’ Golden Triangle neighbourhood opened. Next came New York (1987), Madrid and Brussels (1988) and London (1989). Robert Clergerie won the prize for Designer of the Year in 1987, 1990 and 1992 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2005. Today, his exceptional shoes are worn around the globe.
